Dear API RISE Family, 

You're invited to our September Monthly Gathering! This month's theme is Picnic in the Park: Group Photo Day! We'll be taking an updated group photo to celebrate our community's growth, which will be featured next month during our 10th Year Anniversary celebration. 

We will be taking our photo at 6pm. We encourage you to come, even if it is just for the photo! 

This gathering also aligns with United Against Hate Week. As part of API RISE's Love Not Hate Initiative, we will be raising awareness about hate targeting marginalized communities, including APIs. Love Not Hate participants will be joining us and conducting voluntary interviews with any API RISE members interested in sharing their stories, thoughts, or experiences on API hate. 

This event will be potluck-style, so feel free to bring a dish (enough for 5-10 people) to share, though it's not mandatory. Most importantly, come as you are, enjoy good food, and connect with us!

Location:  LA State Historic Park 1245 N Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Parking: Parking is available in LASHP's main lot at $2 per hour or $8 per day. There is also free street parking near the park, but pay close attention to no-parking and anti-gridlock zones. 

COVID SAFETY:  This will be an outdoor event. We encourage folks to take a rapid test before showing up. Please stay home if you have ANY COVID symptoms (eg. fever, cough, etc.)
